International Petroleum Conference in Mexico

The theme for this year''s International Petroleum Conference in Mexico (IPCM) is Enhanced and Improved Oil Recovery Methods for Low-Permeability Turbidite and Naturally Fractured Reservoirs (Métodos de Recuperación Mejorada y Avanzada de Aceite para Yacimientos Turbidíticos de Baja Permeabilidad y Yacimientos Naturalmente Fracturados).  This event will include 70 technical papers focusing on case histories, new technologies, and the challenges of oil recovery in low-permeability reservoirs, a common situation in Mexico.  Fernando Rodríguez de la Garza, SPE México Chairman, will be the Program Chairperson.  The conference has been endorsed by PEMEX.

The 2002 IPCM in Villahermosa, Tabasco was very successful, with more than 65 technical papers presented and excellent attendance.
