International SG: Opportunities in the Eagle Ford on Both Sides of the Border
At this SPE speaker luncheon, the International Study Group continues its series focusing on opportunities in Mexico in the wake of the recent Mexico Energy Reform. Dr. Thomas Tunstall, the senior research direction at the Institute for Economic Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio, will discuss developments in the Eagle Ford.
The Eagle Ford Shale generated $87 billion dollars in gross output in 2013, and probably similar to that in 2014. Those numbers were expected to reach $137 billion by 2023, however with the recent drop in oil prices, activity in the region has decreased significantly. Dr. Tunstall will present on the latest developments in the Eagle Ford along with best guesses for the future.
