WWM SG: A 360 Degree View of Water Management in Oil & Gas

Pioneer Natural Resources follows a resource-focused strategy and is at the forefront of a long term focus on water planning. This talk aims to give a 360 degree view of water use and management in the oil and gas industry. Topics covered will include: water challenges, water recycling technology, need for disposal options, drilling of brackish water wells, fresh water pond construction versus blending pond considerations, changes in water transfer and future plans for water sourcing in the Permian. Pioneer’s DL Hutt Recycling Project in the Permian Basin will be used as an example to explain many of these topics.
