Young Professionals: Growing the Future of Unconventionals - The Size of the Prize

December_event_with_Mike_Maneffa.PNGUnconventionals have been making headlines across the Oil and Gas industry recently. Many people both in an out of the industry are curious to learn more about the growth of this movement and what the future looks like for more unconventional developments. This technical talk will be lead by an industry expert in the Shale field, Mike Maneffa. 

Mike Maneffa is currently the Shale Unit Manager in Chevron’s Energy Technology Company. In Mike’s previous position, he was the Shale Gas Team Leader for Upstream’s Midcontinent business unit where he led a team on the subsurface evaluation of the successful acquisition of Atlas Energy and Chief acreage in the Marcellus shale.  

Mike received his B.S. degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 1985, and his M.S. degree in petroleum engineering from Stanford University in 1987.  He joined Chevron in 1987 as a production engineer in Bakersfield, CA and has held numerous engineering, operations, planning, and supervisory positions in Bakersfield, New Orleans, and Houston.
