“Five Things You Wanted to Know about Subsea Production Systems” - Subsea Transpostation, Umbilicals and Flowlines

The final session of the 5 part series – “Subsea
transportation, umbilicals and flowlines” -
This presentation will cover
the link between subsea hardware at the drill center and the host facility.
This link includes pipelines for transporting hydrocarbons and umbilicals which
carry hydraulic, electrical, and optical signals to control the subsea hardware.
Options for pipelines include wet insulated single pipe, pipe-in-pipe,
and flexible pipe; pros and cons of each system will be addressed as well as
when one option may be favored over another.  Equipment associated with
pipelines and umbilicals will also be discussed, including PLETs, pipeline
jumpers, SUTAs, SDUs, flying leads, and the function each one provides.
