Investigation of the early time production performance of over two hundred wells from three different resource plays with a wide range of gas-oil ratios shows that early time mismanagement of the wells can completely destroy the benefit gained from any stimulation.  But the data further show that there are economically attractive, feasible strategies to mitigate or minimize that harm and financial risk.
