International: Winners and Losers in the 2020 Oil and Gas Industry; Alternative Energy, Policy, and the Economy

We face an uncertain economic future with China and India pulling us out of our deepest recession since the 1930s.  New technologies are developing rapidly that are enabling alternative energy sources to compete against oil in the transportation sector and continuing to enable lower cost oil production in ever more difficult environments.

Governments around the world continue to expand their role in the energy industry, with Macondo enabling more intense intrusion. Competition amongst independents, integrated oil companies, national oil companies, and service companies continues to intensify.  Where will this take our industry?  Who will be the winners and losers?
