Bus. Devt.: Business Development from the Perspective of the Super-Independent

Join the Business Development Study Group at the Four Seasons Hotel as we discover how the business development captains of three respected Super-Independents plan to sail their companies through the coming year. The popular format of a Business & Social Networking 1/2 hour, with complimentary Hors’ D’ Oeuvres and a cash bar, followed by an hour-long program, will begin at 6:00 pm in the Mezzanine.

Sailing out of the Storm – Opportunities and Hazards in 2009

In 2008, E&P industry ships were caught in storms far more powerful than Gustav and Ike.  Tossed about by huge price waves that crested at historic highs… they then fell into troughs not seen since 2005.  Howling capital markets ripped into sails and stock prices alike – as investors sought the security of a safe harbor rather than further adventure on the E&P high seas.  How do these three captains plan to sail their ships through 2009?  Are the skies clearing – with opportunities for the well-provisioned to take advantage?  What strategies can companies employ for this forecast?  Or…. are we merely sailing through the “eye” – and will the survivors be those who can endure the longest?  When will we know the difference?

We welcome you to join us for this informative discussion, as well as the fellowship and networking of the popular Social (1/2) Hour at 6:00 pm.
