Completion & Production: Improving Sandstone Acidizing

Improving Sandstone Acidizing

Removing damage from oil wells completed in sandstone formations often involves the use of dilute solutions of hydrofluoric acid.  Unfortunately, this process, called conventional acidizing often stimulates water production more than oil.  in some cases it results in less oil production than before the ineffective stimulation, and it has a high incidence of failure.

Fortunately, a new process which deals with effective stimulation as and effective means of imporving the treatment are the subject of this discussion.
