As we reach out into unexplored territory and attempt to drill even more challenging wells, it becomes difficult to build in contingencies for every possible problem. But a key factor in mitigating problems is how well we recover from them and get the well back on track.
This year's Drilling Symposium focuses on Expecting the Unexpected. The presentations take a look at unexpected challenges, what recovery factors were put in to place, and how the drilling teams managed through difficult times to turn problems into successes and build in learnings that can be applied to future projects.
