Clear indications of formation strength changes by UCS permit surface p arameters to be adjusted for the maximum ROP in the new formation type and prevent dysfunction while drilling this new formation. Early detection of drill string and bit dysfunction by MSE and mitigation by changing parame ters in accordance with UCS improves rate of penetration and may prevent d amage to bits and BHA components. Hole cleaning and differential sticking may also be detected and remediated by comparing the behavior of UCS and M SC. This presentation provides the concepts required to work with UCS and MSC and demonstrates with examples from actual drilling operations.--- Thi s iCal file does *NOT* confirm registration.Event details subject to chang e. ---\r\n\r\n--- By Tendenci - The Open Source AMS for Associations ---\r \n UID:uid4162@spegcs.org SUMMARY:Northside: UCS & MSE DIAGNOSE DRILLING LIMITERS DTSTART:20181002T163000Z DTEND:20181002T180000Z CLASS:PUBLIC PRIORITY:5 DTSTAMP:20240328T115126Z TRANSP:OPAQUE SEQUENCE:0 LOCATION:Landry's Seafood House X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
