The potential source, generation, migration, storage, and production mechanisms of both formations will be analyzed from a geologic perspectiv e. The implications of this theory for exploiting the Eagle Ford Shale wi ll also be discussed. From a production standpoint, this presentation wil l compare the production trends of horizontal wells in the Eagle Ford Shal e and Austin Chalk formations, analyzing each in detail to determine if th ere are any similarities in initial production rates and decline trends. Furthermore, some production analyses will also be undertaken to point out some behavioral trends of Eagle Ford horizontal well production profiles. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n This talk investigates the areal extent of producti on from the Eagle Ford Shale and Austin Chalk formations and discusses the ir interdependencies. In addition, geological and petrophysical attribute s are evaluated to understand this phenomenon. Lastly, this paper describ es the key mechanism(s) for oil/condensate flow in these oil-producing res ervoirs and how to best exploit these unconventional formations. Some dis cussion will also be centered around how to take lessons learned and apply them elsewhere in the world.\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Please register prior to the event to facilitate improved planning and admission.
