Fiber optics based monitoring systems have been deployed to provide downhole characteristics, assurance on the c ompletion and production monitoring and infrastructure for both land and o ffshore wells.\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n This presentation will review some of the advantages of fiber optic based monitoring systems, fiber optic tools and interrogation techniques such as distributed temperature sensing (DTS ), Pressure Temperature (PT) sensors, Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG&rsquo\;s), Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) from the early adoption days to the gr ound breaking developments and deployments which the industry has seen in the past few months such as deployment of a down hole wet connect, strain monitoring of completions, and real time compaction monitoring systems.\r\ n \r\n \r\n \r\n This presentation will further cover the applications and benefits of the mentioned fiber optic sensing tools, field specific ch allenges (temperature, monitoring distances, offsets), choices of fibers f or the specific environment, and environmental impacts for the fiber optic monitoring system.\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Please register prior to the event to facilitate improved planning and admission. Walk-ins will be accepted on a first come/ first serve basis as space all ows.\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n If you have special dietary needs , please email the event contact with your requests PRIOR to arrival at th e event.\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Thank you.\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Parking: Use Contract Entrance.
