One of the many environmental studies that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforce ment (BOEM) conducts is emissions inventory studies. \; The purpose of these studies is to assess the potential impacts of air emissions from of fshore OCS oil and gas exploration, development, and production sources to onshore coastal states. Past emissions efforts include calendar years 200 0, 2005, and 2008. \; Currently, a Year 2011 Emission Inventory St udyhas been awarded.
The objective of the < em>Year 2011 Emission Inventory Study will be to calculate OCS source s (platform and non-platform) emissions for calendar year 2011, including estimates of carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrog en oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), hydrocarbons (VOC), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxides (N20).
BOEM has published NTL No. 2010-G06, which requires operators to co llect all their calendar year 2011 activity data (using the GOADS software ) from every piece of equipment on all platforms in the Central and Wester n Gulf of Mexico and submit that data to BOEM by April 18, 2012. \;
A webpage has been developed for GOADS at http://www.gomr.boemre.gov/homepg/regulate/environ/airqua lity/goads.html.  \;This webpage includes past emissions inventory databases for 2000 and 2005, and will soon include 2008. \; It also i ncludes information and materials needed for the GOADS 2011 effort, includ ing the NTL, software, User&rsquo\;s Guide, Frequently Asked Questions, an d Technical Support.
