Description

The Career Advancement Network (CAN) Committee is extremely pleased to welcome Jeane Perdue, a former SPE-GCS Section Chair and Retiree of OXY, to bring her 1/2 day short course workshop on bringing innovation to life.

Innovation is very important for engineers' careers, but Innovation 101 is not a course taught in college. Nevertheless, companies expect engineers to be innovative today, especially during the Energy Transition. This hands-on workshop will take attendees through the process of innovation, from ideation to naming, from feature design to prototype building, and from collaboration to marketing. Work in teams to design and build amazing gizmos, culminating in a Shark Tank competition.
