Description

This talk addresses the need for advanced, integrated, and automated approaches to manage and transform energy systems, which are essential for a successful transition to green energy. The energy industry is very complex and always changing, so we need new ways to manage it. This presentation argues that our old methods are too simple and can't handle the complexity of today's energy systems. Instead of using outdated techniques, we propose a new way to organize and check these systems using advanced math and computer science. This new method ensures that all parts of the system work together smoothly and consistently.

We developed a new framework using Chevron's engineering systems, which automates many of the tasks that people used to do manually. This makes the process faster, more reliable, and less prone to errors. Our approach uses category theory, a branch of math that helps us understand and manage complex systems without losing important details. By embracing this new method, we can better handle the complexity of modern energy systems and make smarter decisions for the future.
