Description

 

This presentation covers recent publications at the 2021 SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition and the 2022 SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference. It will describe metrics that were created and implemented for utilization as benchmarks when evaluating drilling and completions optimization practices.  The data science behind the creation and utilization of these metrics will be discussed, in addition to the results of specific case studies across multiple basins.

She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in petroleum engineering. She has coauthored two recent SPE papers, “Practical Applications of Diagnostic Data Science in Drilling and Completions” (SPE 206234) and “Look Who’s Talking – Quantifying the Lasting Effects of Fracture-Driven Interactions” (SPE 209124). Rachel is an active member of the SPE in Midland and serves on the Permian Basin Completions and Operations Study Group Committee.
