Sriram's team supports the Texas Delaware Basin and Midland Basin Business Units on development planning decisions using geological and simulation modeling. His team also leads the effort for the conception and execution of EOR in Unconventional Reservoirs. His previous role at Oxy was a Reservoir Engineer in the conventional asset where he managed the operations of the most mature CO2 flooded oil field in the Permian Basin. Previously, he also worked at Shell supporting assets in South East Asia and North Africa. Sriram has a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Sriram is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

Kanay Jerath is a Senior Petrophysicist at Occidental with focus on developing petrophysical

interpretations and workflows for the Permian Resources group. He received a Master’s in Petroleum

Engineering from University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and has since worked with Anadarko Petroleum

and Occidental in Gulf of Mexico, International Deepwater and Onshore assignments. He serves on the

editorial board of SPWLA Young Professionals Newsletter and is a technical reviewer for Formation

Evaluation publications for SPE and URTeC. An interesting problem he is currently working on is the use

of cloud-based software to automate interpretation of very large petrophysical datasets.

Matt Jones graduated from Texas A&M University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. His background is in production engineering, completion engineering, and workovers. From 2014–2017, he supported Anadarko’s Eagleford asset in South Texas as a Production Engineer, and his primary focuses where production surveillance, remedial workovers, and artificial lift design and optimization.  From 2017–2019, he supported Anadarko’s Delaware Basin asset in West Texas as a Sr. Completions Engineer, and his primary focuses where hydraulic stimulations of unconventional horizontal wells, coiled tubing cleanouts, and other completion-based operations.  When Occidental acquired Anadarko in late 2019, he transitioned roles to be a Completions Engineering Supervisor for the Delaware Basin asset.  In May 2021, he moved to Occidental’s Worldwide Drilling & Completions Team as a Completions Engineering Advisor, where he supports completions company-wide.
