Ana Karina Acevo, holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de las Americas and a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.
Her 14-year career at Schlumberger; the largest oil and gas services company has ranged from operations, sales, planning and supply chain across several geographical areas supporting land and offshore operations.
She began her career as a Field Engineer, leading Fracturing Operations in O&G Wells where she developed her operational and technical skills which lead her to excelling within the Technical Sales Organization. During her role in Technical Sales and Engineering, she delivered strategic results impacting the primary Vessels contracts in Offshore Operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
Equipped with a strong background in operations, she transitioned into the Planning and Supply Chain Organization. During her trajectory as Planning Manager for all Latin America Operations, her focus and projects were related to cash-flow initiatives and inventory optimization.
Exhibiting her leadership skills, Ana Karina was part of the team responsible for implementing the first Distributor Management Inventory Model in Mexico, and Vendor Management Inventory Models in South America, primary remote locations. Ana Karina played a crucial role in the design of the distribution models, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of results. This model allowed to support cash-flow initiatives across Latin America, and to capture additional work for remote locations due to the accessibility of new technologies.
Her contributions in the planning organization played a pivotal role in transitioning into the Supply Chain Organization where she was able to leverage her prior experiences as a Global Supplier Manager and, later on as Global Category Manager for Specialty Chemicals. She was responsible for +650M in yearly spend and overlooking for the supply requirements across the Globe, definition of the supply strategy YoY, supporting the engineering group on the development of new technologies and chemistries, that impacted the corporate strategies for new technologies introduction, product substitution and cash-flow initiatives across the entire portfolio.
During her current role as a Global Category Manager for Products, she is responsible supporting the Supply Chain Organization and Category Managers to define and implement their future strategy across their portfolios, establish the governance and framework for the long-term Procurement Plan and provide the required market and competitor’s assessment across all Geographies and Products Category.
