We are excited to invite you to the SPE-GCS Young Professionals flagship event- RNC 2020.  RNC this year will be hosted virtually through a digital conferencing platform considering safe distancing protocols. 

Roughneck Camp 2020 in the 17th year of its occurrence will have different aspects discussed such as navigating oil and gas industry downturns, and key ideas to thrive in this ever-changing, volatile energy business. 

The Theme for RNC this year is "RESILIENCETHE KEY TO RIDING THE OIL CYCLES"

Prior to this role, Jeff serves as president of Chevron Canada Limited, and was responsible for the company's upstream interests in Canada, including oil sands, unconventional resource assets in Alberta and British Columbia, interests offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, the proposed Kitimat LNG Project, and assets in the Northwest Territories and Yukon.


Jeff joines Chevron in 1999 and has held positions in Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Strategic Planning, Supply and Trading, Investor Relations and Upstream, with numerous assignments in the United States, as well as Venezuela, the United Kingdom and Canada. 


Jeff graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1994 with bachelor's degrees in both economics and international affairs, and received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999.

Before joining Baker Hughes she served as the executive director of the American Geosciences Institute, which represents more than 250,000 geoscientists and focuses on increasing public awareness of the role geosciences play in society’s use of resources. Prior to that, she held a number of academic, policy and senior government positions, including teaching at Georgetown University, working for the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and serving as the associate director of strategic engagement of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) at the U.S. Department of the Interior. Jason Klein leads Shell’s US Energy Transition Program, which involves assessing emerging risks and opportunities across Shell’s US businesses from the global transition to lower carbon energy, developing policy and advocacy positions around Energy Transition in the US, and implementing long-term strategies to make Shell resilient to expected changes in the energy system and allow Shell’s US businesses to thrive as the world moves to lower-carbon energy. 


 He joined Shell following the acquisition of BG Group in 2016, where he was Asset General Manager for BG in the US—responsible for BG’s US unconventional assets, North America exploration activities, and the development of the proposed Lake Charles LNG export project.


 Following the BG takeover, Jason became VP US LNG within Shell’s Integrated Gas business, responsible for development of the Elba Island LNG project currently under construction near Savannah, Georgia and the proposed Lake Charles LNG export project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. 


 Jason is a lawyer by background and joined BG Group in 2003.  Jason had senior legal roles with BG in the United States, United Kingdom, Oman and Australia, including serving as BG’s Deputy General Counsel in both Houston and London.
