Description

Contractors and their subcontractors make up a significant portion of the field based workforce in the oil and gas industry. Therefore, their understanding of Life Critical Expectations is an important key to achieving a safe work environment. In 2019, Marathon Oil expanded their partnership with ISNetworld to help ensure that those performing work on-site understand our Life Critical Expectations. The new process enables 1) the delivery of training and administration of an exam to verify understanding, 2) the ability to track status at the individual level, and 3) a means to flag non-compliant individuals associated with drug & alcohol or life critical accountability issues. Paired with an overall refresh of our life critical expectations and the ongoing implementation of our Management System, Marathon Oil continues to reduce operational risk and drive continuous improvement in support of our commitment to safe, responsible and ethical operations.
