Tom Powell is a leading financier with expertise in investment banking, commercial banking, mortgage banking, alternative asset management, corporate finance and governance. Powell’s background includes a proven track record in raising private and institutional capital, investment and credit risk analysis, risk mitigation, portfolio management, distressed debt recovery, and deal structure.  Powell’s career began in 1988 in Silicon Valley at Wells Fargo Bank, where he was named the youngest Vice President in the Company’s then 140-year history.  Most recently, Powell founded and successfully grew a diversified private investment company, Resolute Capital Partners (f/k/a ELP Capital), an alternative investment firm specializing in serving middle market borrowers and real estate developers. Tom is an international guest lecturer and has served as an instructor in the Office of Executive Education at Harvard University. He has been active with Boys and Girls Clubs of America for over 30 years, first as a youth, then as a local board member and then as a National Trustee and Executive Committee leader. Tom is a healthy lifestyle/outdoor enthusiast and works as a professional ski instructor for Vail Resorts and is a cycling aficionado in the off-season.

Maria Fitch specializes in negotiation, conflict resolution, communication and leadership training at Weatherford.  Maria worked at Cambridge International Consulting, based in Caracas, Venezuela, providing training and negotiation consulting.  She was an advisor for the Municipality of Chacao’s Municipal Justice office, focusing on community peacebuilding and mediation programs in Venezuela.   She was a guest lecturer in negotiation and conflict resolution at both Universidad Católica- Andrés Bello School of Law and the Corporación Andina de Fomento Program for Transformational Leadership.  She has an MA from American University in International Peace and Conflict Resolution and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Iowa.

George Amanzio has a unique blend of commercial lending, marketing and technical experience. He has worked as Vice President of Commercial and Small Business lending for such companies as Bank Atlantic, Florida Community Bank and Amegy Bank of Texas. Previously, George was a member of the U.S. Navy and has been part of the Navy Reserves for over 20 years. George holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Northwood University. He also has specialized certifications focusing on sales management, credit analysis, and leadership. George is also Certified as a SBDC Global Director.
