Jose Villa is a Senior Reservoir Engineer in the US Gulf of Mexico Development Team with Total E&P USA. He focuses on reservoir modeling building, dynamic simulation, and field development optimization. He has participated and conducted basic/advanced reservoir simulation studies in over 20 oil and gas fields in Venezuela, Norway, Brazil, Nigeria, Ghana, and USA, representing off-shore deep water and conventional on-shore reservoirs. He has actively participated in the development and deployment of reservoir simulation technologies during his professional career. He previously worked for Anadarko, Shell International E&P, and PDVSA Intevep. He holds a BS degree from Central University of Venezuela, and a MS degree from Stanford University, both in Petroleum Engineering. Jose Villa also serves different roles in SPE International and SPE Gulf Coast Section, and has been committee member and co-chair in several SPE workshops.
