SPE-GCS High School Recruiting Fairs
High school students, their parents, teachers and counselors are invited to learn more about careers in the energy industry at 5 recruiting fairs being held at schools around the Houston area the week of November 15. Each two-hour fair will have a 30-minute program of speakers that includes a variety of perspectives, including recent grads and industry leaders. Universities will have representatives present to answer questions about their petroleum engineering programs.
This year during each fair, the SPE-GCS will host a drawing to give high school seniors a chance to win a $200 scholarship*. To enter the drawing, seniors must submit a correctly completed quiz that can be found as an attachment at the end of this article.
*Limit, one entry per person. Must be present to win. Any undergraduate scholarship awarded by the Gulf Coast Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers is contingent upon the recipient''s official registration at an accredited university or college.
