Drilling: How Do Drilling Automation and Optimization Work Together?
We have recently completed a drilling automation project revealing multiple key drilling issues needing optimization. The automation measurement system reveals down-hole issues limiting the system’s performance and requiring countermeasures beyond what can be compensated for during normal drilling operations. We will present a few examples and discuss potential next steps.
