Tech Transfer: Evolution of Bioremediation

Bioremediation has finally evolved!  You are invited to hear Terramed Remediation’s Ron Finn and Drylet’s Steve Ellis present the theory and third-party validated data for this revolutionary microbial delivery technology, best described as “bioreactors”.  Wastewater plants have tried everything to solve problems of odor and sludge build up that result in air quality fines and expensive trucking expenses. Dry-let has helped solved some of these issues by putting common bacteria inside a bio reactor .

In the Houston area a waste water plant treats 1 million gallons of waste water with 2 pounds of these bio reactors per day which eliminates the odors and reduces sludge by 35 % .This  same technology is being use in the oil and gas business to remediate waste products.

These bioreactors overcome many of the limitations of legacy bioremediation techniques by requiring a much lower moisture requirement to be effective.  Case studies will be presented for successful remediation’s that include fuel spills, oil-based drill cuttings, production pits, industrial lagoons and tank battery remediation.  In addition to hydrocarbons, this bioreactor technology can also effectively remediate chlorides and SAR.
