This almost covers the cost of one bicyc le. For the first 25 registered volunteers, SPE will cover half of this fe e that comes to be 20 dollars. Protective gloves are optional. \r\nBring 13mm and 15mm wrenches, a Philips head screwdriver, a 5mm Allen wrench, a nd scissors to cut plastic strapping. \r\nPlease do not bring power tools. \r\n\r\n\r\nWhere to go:\r\n\r\n\r\nNavigate to NRG Center and enter via N orth Stadium Drive.\r\nFor free parking you will be directed to park in th e Red Lot. If you enter from Kirby, you may be charged a parking fee.\r\nE nter through Hall D at NRG Center, and you'll find us taking up Halls D an d E.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen you get there:\r\n\r\n\r\nPresent your receipt to a r epresentative.\r\nYou will be asked to sign a waiver.\r\nA short video wil l be shown. You may have seen it already, but this video covers safety and other procedures. (Plus, our lawyer insists!)\r\nBefore you begin, you wi ll shadow someone through the bike-building process. (You'd be surprised a t how many bikes our veteran volunteers have to fix!)\r\nYou will then be free to collect bikes to build one at a time. \r\nAfter building your bike , you will take it to the Quality Assurance team to be checked.\r\nOnce yo ur bicycle is cleared, deliver it to the staging space, clean up any scrap s, and then collect a new box and start the process over again!\r\n\r\n\r\ n\r\nWhat to eat:\r\n\r\n\r\nWater and soda will be available.\r\nYou may pack a sandwich or small snack.\r\nPlease do not attempt to have food deli vered.
