Full Description

Operators are on the hunt for the next big oil play, a basin that has produced more than 5 million barrels and has double what’s produced remaining undeveloped. What better place to look than one of the top 5 U.S. producing states? As operators seek out new plays to enter, bringing new technology and improved efficiencies, the basin becomes an ecosystem with a diverse set of challenges that require cross-disciplinary collaboration to drive value creation. It’s not only a subsurface real estate game, but finding balance with operating costs, transportation, and production taxes as well.

The South Central Oklahoma Oil Province, SCOOP, and the Sooner Trend Anadarko Basin Canadian and Kingfisher Counties, STACK, have quickly emerged as two of the top plays in the United States. Some even consider them the most economic plays in the US.  The SCOOP and STACK have become the next big play.

Please join us March 29, 2017 at the Four Seasons Houston as Ali Ahmed, President of Highmark; Jeff Tanner, EVP of Geoscience and Business Development of Jones Energy; and James P. Royal, CEO of Staghorn Petroleum LLC, present an exciting story of their SCOOP and STACK activities and a glimpse of what’s to come.

The popular format of a Business & Social Networking hour followed by an hour long program, including a Q&A session, will begin at 5:00 PM in the Mezzanine
