MATHCOUNTS is a nationwide program that promotes math excellence for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and combines the efforts of the education, business, government and the technological communities. It is a math skills coaching program based on higher thinking skills development with a series of progressive competitions at local, state and national levels. It motivates students to do well in math and recognizes and rewards them for achievement.

Please join SPE-GCS Young Professionals as we team with the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) to host the 2016 Regional MATHCOUNTS Competition. Volunteers will assist with grading papers and proctoring exams. Breakfast, lunch and t-shirt will be provided.
