David R Hall, Grandson of Howard Hall and Florence Tracy who lost their farm in Marriott Utah on December 16th 1934 forcing them to have their 5 sons focus on education. Son of Tracy Hall who was the first to make Man Made Diamond on December 13th 1954 exactly 20 years after his family lost the farm. Founder of Novatek Inc. of Provo Utah and an author on over 600 patents. Married to Karen Vandyke and we have 5 children and 19 grandchildren.

“Trials and failure precede lasting success” Drawing on his many years’ experience, Mr. Hall will discuss his perspectives on innovation. Novatek is a "modern Edison lab" that has fine-tuned the intellectual property process. Everything is done in-house, including the brainstorming, legal legwork, and actual machining of prototypes. His interests include: R&D management, strategic partnerships, long term planning, high pressure and high temperature materials and equipment. His talk will be followed by a dynamic question and answer session.
