Who Should Attend
This course outlines the unique characteristics of Coalbed Methane (CBM) reservoir analysis. It reviews the key reservoir data and how variations in the different coal properties impact production performance and recoveries. Comments and examples are also provided on quality-checking data and on the ongoing development of CBM around the globe. The target audience for this workshop includes engineers, geologists, geophysicists, investors, managers, government officials, planners, and technical support staff who are interested in evaluating CBM fields or prospects and in understanding where the industry is headed.

Speaker Steve Hennings

Biography

Steve Hennings, M.S., P.E., is a petroleum engineering consultant with Source Rock Engineering, in Colorado. He has thirty years of operations and reservoir engineering experience ranging from rig and field foreman to technology coordinator at a major research lab. Steve has been involved in every phase of gas exploration and development and during the past five years he has conducted workshops in six countries to present lessons learned from his ongoing Coalbed Methane, Coal Mine Methane and Shale Gas projects in the United States, Australia, China, Canada, Indonesia, India and Turkey. In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious Stefanko Award for his technical presentations. Steve is a certified professional engineer and holds degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Finance.
