Details for "Crossing the Technology Chasm"

Steve Jacobs
, President of RMI, will discuss the top 10 technologies of all time in the upstream sector of the petroleum industry. One of these top 10 technologies was not created by the industry, but has made significant contributions in all areas.

This list was developed following a brief survey among operators, technology providers, editors and investors. The list was further confirmed at the recent Offshore Europe 2009 conference, where the audience had the opportunity through the use of voting pads to choose the technologies they felt were most instrumental.

Also to be covered in the presentation is the list of the top 10 emerging technologies which will have the most significant impact in the future. Lastly, a brief discussion of the ways in which the acceptance of new technology can be accelerated will be outlined.

RMI has developed several methodologies for helping service companies accelerate the rate of acceptance of their new technologies.
