Details for "PetroTech: GEOLOGY 101"

Whether you work in geoscience, drilling, reservoir, subsurface, regulatory, or facilities, you owe your livelihood to the men and women who first FIND the oil and gas that we produce.  In "Geology 101," Steve Allison will teach us some of the trade secrets of these rock hounds.  What do those squiggly lines on seismic really mean?  Why do they look for bugs in the rocks, and are we certain that they're all dead?  Is it absolutely imperative for them to make us lick the rocks when we are on field trips, or is that just a geologist's trick to make us feel silly?  What makes these geology-types tick anyway??!!!
