3rd Annual Reservoir Technology Showcase
Sponsored by Study Group - Reservoir
Thursday 16-Oct-08 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM CDT
The 3rd Annual Reservoir Technology showcase will feature eight leading technology companies that will discuss and demonstrate their latest developments. This year’s theme is The Power of Integrated Technologies. The companies participating in the program are:
|
Baker Hughes Inteq |
LWD technologies for real-time decision making and enhanced reservoir evaluation |
|
CMG |
Integration of of CMG’s black oil (IMEX) and compositional (GEM) reservoir simulation models with Petroleum Experts surface pipeline network simulator (GAP) |
|
Core Lab ProTechnics |
Direct measurements of completion placement and completion diagnostics to differentiate production performance from completion problems. |
|
IHS |
Integrated workflow for reservoir engineers and geologists leveraging real-time data to make short-term and long-term decisions |
|
Micro Seismic Inc |
Moving beyond the “dots in a box” event mapping to an integrated geological and geomechanical interpretation of microseismic data |
|
Nutech |
Integrating petrophysics, engineering, and geology to identify by-passed pay, provide reservoir characterization, and full field development plan |
|
Roxar |
The integration of geological modeling (RMS), reservoir simulation (Tempest) and assisted history matching (Enable) to ensure a consistent geological model and reservoir model through the history matching process |
|
Sabeus |
Permanent down hole temperature and pressure integrated with third party communications, completion, production, and simulation technologies |
The showcase will culminate with our keynote speaker, Michael Bahorich, Executive VP, Exploration and Production Technology, Apache Corporation.
Michael S. Bahorich was appointed Executive Vice president, Exploration and Production Technology in May 2000. Prior to that Mr. Bahorich held positions including VP Exploration and Production Technology and the Chief Geophysicist. From 1981 until joining the company, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Amoco Corporation in Denver and Tulsa.
A graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, he received his Master’s Degree in Geophysics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI). Mr. Bahorich is a member of the board of trustees of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and serves on advisory boards at Stanford and Yale Universities. He holds six patents.
