Details for "Long- Versus Short-term Trends in Oil & Gas Prices and Real Options"

Exploration and Production projects in the oil and gas industry are becoming ever more capital-intensive and technologically complex. Since these projects are typically of long-horizon and require very large investments early on, the role of price forecasting and embedded options in the projects is becoming very important. This presentation will analyze the long- versus short-term trends in oil & gas prices and their influence on the real options embedded in E&P projects. Through business case-studies and examples, we will provide a framework for valuing these options and highlight best practices for project evaluation in the oil &gas industry.
