The presentation is focused on Statoil experience and future direction for application of IOR technologies, in subsea production systems. Statoil is a major subsea operator and the presentation discusses capabilities that reinforce our distinctiveness on subsea technology. The company�s IOR ambition and technology developments being pursued to reach the goals are presented. Examples of vendor collaboration initiatives to bring the technology to the market are also given.

Presentation: Implementation of IOR technologies

Bio: Arnt Olufsen was appointed the position as Senior Advisor Deep Water Technology for Statoil Gulf of Mexico in 2006. He worked almost 10 years for SINTEF (The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research at the Norwegian Institute of Technology) before joining Statoil in 1992. In his 15 years with Statoil, he has been mostly involved in R&D work and stepped down as a Chief Scientist in Statoil the summer of 2006. His new assignment in Houston is to ensure implementation of value enhancing technology for Statoil�s deepwater asset portfolio. Dr. Olufsen has a MS in structural engineering and a PhD from the department of marine structures of the Norwegian Institute of Technology.
