CONDUCTING A JOB SEARCH
The nineties way to think of a job search is like being in business for yourself. Now, you represent yourself instead of a company. You are responsible for your own advertising (resumes), sales calls (interviews), and final negotiations (accepting that job). Chances are, no one ever taught you how to find a job. If they did, it was based on how the college placement office was organized, and a few tips about resumes, dress, and interviewing. Things have really changed since those good old days.
